Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

No we are not Irish!  I answered that question several times today, out and about with the kids.  But HELLO, I have two red headed children and all of them were wearing green.  I have a bad memory of being pinched when I was in kindergarten for not wearing green.  I decided to try and not let that happen to my kids.  They went to MOPS today and were gonna be around other children.  Plus, this green dress is the red heads Easter dress.  I thought I would get more use out of their dresses and put them in them today.  I didn't dye any food green, however, I did make corned beef.  No cabbage, I didn't think my family would eat it, so I made Caesar salad instead!  Hey, it's green too!

Our attempt at a picture with the timer on my camera.  We tried several times and this was the best one.

Savanna is a eater and loved her corned beef.

Our family project

We (me) decided to start a family project.  A garden!  The girls got our garden area cleaned out and fenced off.  Josh checked all the sprinklers and helped get rid of some dead plants.  We also planted some seeds in starter containers, because it's still pretty cold at night here.  I've never tried to plant a garden, so hopefully this works and something grows.  Laney has been wanting to plant a garden for a very long time.

Josh "supervising".Three girls can get a lot done, when they put their mind to it.

We found lots of rolly pollies under the leaves and rocks.

Laney, such a hard worker. Olivia with another rolly polly on her shovel.

My, this one gets dirty.

I guess Daddy and Vannies needed a break.

Our temporary inside containers.  We can plants these straight into the ground when it's time.

We added water to these pellets and they turned into dirt.  Pretty cool.

We are starting with tomatoes and these African daisies.

Spring is in the Air, Every time I look around

Every day after Christmas, Laney has been asking me if Spring is here.  I would say no, and then she would be sad.  I know how she feels.  Once Christmas is over, every thing is just brown here.  Brown dirt and grass is not very inspiring.  Alas, Spring is here once again.

So when you have four little girls, and not a single one of them in school, you dress them up and take their picture.  They were not really in the mood, so I didn't get a whole lot of good ones.  I did get a good one of the red heads.  Generally they don't get along real well, having red hair and all.  But I guess they were in love this day.

I apologize for the booger picture, but Spring brings allergies and colds.  Josh has allergies and us girls all have colds.  I wouldn't be keeping it real without a booger picture.   By the way, I got all of these dresses, on clearance, for six dollars at Target.  And these hats were a dollar, also at Target.

Not Me!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I've always wanted to do one of these kind of posts, about how crazy moms are. It's way better to get it all out in the open, instead of pretending like we have it all together. So when I saw that McMama did this Not Me, Monday's where mommas in the blogging world, admit to their imperfections, I had to join. So don't judge me, just laugh about it!

When I was on the phone with my dear mother this week, I did not click over to receive a phone call from my sister-in-law and remember 30 minutes later that my dear mother was still on the other line! No, Not me!

I did not absentmindedly let my three year old peak into the stall of an unsuspecting peeing Kohl's customer! I would NEVER let that happen!

In that same bathroom trip to Kohl's, I would never forget to put wipes in my purse. Just in case my 2 year old being potty trained, would pull down her pull-up with poop in it to try and go potty by her self. I would not let her smear poop on the potty and up and down her legs and then forget to bring wipes. And I would definitely not yell at my other three children in a public restroom! No, Not me! Can you imagine what the people outside of the bathroom thought was going on in there!

I did not pretend like I didn't understand what my husband was talking about when he woke me up last night to tell me our five year old threw-up in bed, so I wouldn't have to clean it up. No way, No, Not me!

I would absolutely never, ever let my five year old brunette and 3 year old red head, climb over our fence into our neighbors yard. Of course I would assume that they could push their slide up to the wall and into the neighbors yard to play with their kids! NO, NOT, ME!

Sunday Morning Breakfast

You know it's gonna be a long day when...   You wake up and your hair looks like this!

Since I usually make a real breakfast on Sunday mornings, I thought I would share what we make.  I'm always looking for new ideas.  This morning was egg and cheese sandwiches with hash browns.

These were frozen hash browns, that you just put in the oven.

Fry an egg in butter.

Add a piece of cheese while the egg is cooking and then put it on top on toast.

Gosh I sound like a dork!

Because my husband thinks every meal needs meat, I added a piece of left over tri tip from dinner last night.

And added some salsa to the love of my life's breakfast sandwich.

This is a serious bad hair day for Addy Mae!
