Book Club

Summer book club is going great! I forgot to take pictures at "The Help" book club.
This months' book was "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.

I really, really loved this book. It's been a long time since I've read an all around good book like this one. It has clean romance, humor, and touching war stories.

Thank you to my friends who read this months' book! I am having sooo much fun.
(That's my friend Gina. She is pregnant with baby number 5. I think she is the cutest pregnant lady ever.)

Just thought I would say I have been following your blog for a while. I have virtually joined your book club with The Help and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I liked both books. They were very conversational and helped the reader move right along with the narrator. I enjoyed the second book more. It had more of a surreal kind of feeling without missing some historical points. It was interesting to discuss with my family about places that never get talked about but were definitely affected by war. Might I recommend a movie called I am David. It is during this same time period.

Deanne,

I'm so glad you are following along! I loved this book also! Like it's one I could read again and again through the years. I hope you read The Red Tent also. That's next weeks' book club book and it is also one of my new favs.'
