We're not always clean and shiny.

Meet the ragamuffins.

I believe 80% of our time during the week is spent in disarray.  We stay in our jammies.  I don't brush any body's hair.  The only reason Laney is dressed in this picture is because she knows how to bypass the baby lock on her closet and get herself dressed.  Bless her heart she even tried to put a barrette in her brunette hair.

This was some sort of push-a-sister-in-this-dirty-high-chair-that-nobody-uses-anymore game.

Clearly this child's mother never washes her face after breakfast.

I will very much miss the days when my girls will no longer be my ragamuffins.  They'll want to wear make-up, and do each other's hair.  I love our disarray.

I am so glad I am not the only one. Sometimes I feel guilty leaving them in jammies all day but why not!? They are comfortable for playing, they just get dirty from lunch and snacks anyway. Thank you for posting what is to be completely normal in the life of having children. I think Laney did a fabulous job, barrette and all.

I only have ONE child, and I can't keep her clean about 70% of the time!
You show me a child who is always clean and "put together" and I will show you a kid who is most definitely NOT having any fun!
Dirty, disheveled children are proof that a GOOD TIME is being had by all! :)

You are so right I have 3 grown daughters, 2 married and it seems like just a year or 2 ago when they were as you call it ragamuffins!

I just saw your blog on another blog and had to peek. My old blog name was Three Blondes and a Redhead. But that included us parents and being pregnant again, I knew I needed a change. Your girls are PRECIOUS and I am in awe of your 11 month age difference with the last two. It's a wonder you ever get anything done around your house! Bravo.

Thanks for letting me say, "hi!"
